This course details the responsibilities of the Official Veterinarian at an approved EU ostrich abattoir and cutting plant. It covers daily responsibilities during production, certification requirements, national residue program compliance, microbiological verification of hygiene requirements and verification of the Hygiene Management System of the abattoir.
Competency in this course is a prerequisite for Official Veterinarians appointed to approved EU ostrich abattoirs as well as private persons who are authorized by government to perform regulatory functions at approved EU ostrich abattoirs.
